Essential Functions:
Certification Activities
Develops program administration standards of practice for application reviews, record maintenance, and renewal process.
Maps and documents processes related to initial and continuing certification
Develops and provides training related to initial and continuing certification
Provides technical and process-related support for diverse range of certification processes, both within and external to the certification team.
Investigates complaints and inquiries relating to certification and oversees corrective actions; recommends and coordinates actions to correct problems and prevent future occurrences.
Acts as a second level of review for complaints and investigations that relate to certification.
Develops and implements standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all certification-related activities including investigations and appeals.
Develops key performance indicators and targets specific to certification processes and in coordination with the direct supervisor.
Monitors program performance and implements strategy for growth and improvements.
Maintains program certification handbook including monitoring and administration of guidelines.
Remains current on NCCA/ISO 17204 accreditation requirements and implements strategies to apply/comply.
Aligns certification business processes with industry best practices
Develops certification reports as needed.
Supervision
Manages Certification Team staff.
Ensures employees follow the required SOPs and certification policies.
Builds a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Hires and trains new staff.
Upskills staff members and makes employment and hiring recommendations as necessary, to ensure mission delivery.
Other Functions
Advises the Chief Assessment Officer on matters related to certification-related strategic plans and their implementation.
Serves as the organization’s expert in certification-related matters and contributes, as needed, to the development of strategic plans.
Provides timely, effective, accurate and organized information during the management of ‘critical incidents’ and oversees technical resolution for diverse range of complex issues
Prepares certification reports for the Board of Directors and serves as a liaison to the Board of Directors on certification matters, as needed.
Provides additional support as needed.
Requirements:
Experience, Education, Certification and Skill Requirements:
Four-year degree in Business Administration or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
3-5 years of experience in certification industry with at least 3 years in a team leadership/management role
ICE-CCP required (or needs to be obtained within first 3 months of employment)
PMP Certification preferred.
Demonstrate essential skills required to provide a systematic approach to process improvement.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.

Ability to document process, procedures, transactions and reports

Specific Requirements:
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
Must be able to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the public
Must be able to accomplish tasks via the electronic environment such as video conferencing and digital collaboration.
Must be able to effectively use a keyboard
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs
Able to travel approximately 5 nights per year.
