The Workplan Development & Resource Management (WD&RM) department maintains the excellent performance needed to successfully build, execute, and resource workplans, meet our financial commitments, and meet our customer & regulatory commitments. The Program Management team within WD&RM is responsible for implementing and delivering non-complex projects, programs, & blankets within a 5-year constrained workplan.
Job Purpose
The Project Manager manages a non-complex portfolio of projects for Electric Transmission & Distribution (T&D) jurisdictions. The project portfolio may include, but is not limited to: transmission line rebuilds, structure/poles replacements, substation maintenance and/or equipment replacements, customer initiated (interconnections), and company initiated (programmatic) projects. The role of the Project Manager has proven to be a vital component of successfully delivering the capital delivery plan as a whole. By maintaining accurate forecasts and resourced schedules in their portfolio, the Project Manager provides information used to ensure the overall capital budget is adhered to across all branches of operations.
Key Accountabilities
Manage a non-complex portfolio of projects from project inception through construction and closeout while implementing resource strategies to meet regulatory, budgetary, and jurisdictional goals for New England T&D portfolio.
Identify issues early in the lifecycle of each project and effectively troubleshoot the issues encountered (e.g. procurement/construction field issues) to ensure deadlines are met.
Develop project schedules and perform accurate monthly schedule updates in Primavera P6 Professional (P6) for projects based on negotiated dates with project team contributors to meet customer in service dates.
Keep internal and external departments informed of project requirements and schedules using appropriate communication methods (i.e. project team meetings).
Monitor and update Delegation of Authority (DOA) approved project spending throughout the lifecycle of every project in the assigned portfolio.
Provide a month by month financial forecast for portfolio of projects.
Track, report, and forecast project financials and milestones each month.
Ensure proper closeout of projects that may include reconciliation of customer payments by working closely with Customer Energy Integration (CEI).
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
Sound experience of successful project delivery and project team leadership skills.
Good influencing and negotiating skills.
Good communication skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or a minimum or 5+ related years of experience.
Project Management experience a plus.
Strong communication, negotiation, leadership and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate sound judgement to independently solve problems and resolve conflicts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Project management software knowledge a plus. (Microsoft Project or Primavera P6)
Analytical skills with competencies to transfer data between software systems, and ability to develop complex business reports in project management systems and other software tools.
Ability to travel within the service territory is required.
Valid driver’s license required.

$90,000 – $116,000 a year
