Job Summary:

The Accounting Sr Consultant performs complex activities related to special accounting projects, preparation of financial reports/models and analysis of financial/accounting data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Uses advanced accounting principles and understands the concepts, rules and terminology to the science of accounting
• Applies strong understanding of industry practices and integrates accounting knowledge with business goals and strategy
• Reviews and analyzes ambiguous problems and complicated Accounting/Financial/technical information issues
• Identifies, develops and applies ideas and approaches to complicated issues, solving problems and accomplishing goals
• Breaks down complex information in a systematic and communicable manner
• Plans, implements and manages moderately-scaled projects

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 3 or more years of related experience
• Blue book experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• None

Functional Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Accounting/Financial/technical processes
• “Day to day” workflow management knowledge
• Strong Use Accounting principles and understands the concepts, rules, and terminology common to the science of accounting
• Advanced knowledge and the ability to use the concepts, techniques, and issues involved in planning projects and processes
• Strong understanding of the Insurance Industry

The base range offered for the role is: $72,000 – $90,000 and may vary based on internal equity, and job-related skills, knowledge and experience; among other factors. Other financial components may be added as part of the competitive compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
