NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Director of Accounting based in Daytona Beach, Florida. This position is primarily responsible for preparation, review and communication of the business units’ financial statements and controls, as well as, participating in the development and execution of the business unit’s strategic initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Degree in Accounting from an accredited university with at least five years accounting related experience in the retail property management field. Must demonstrate a clear understanding and application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and have experience with interpreting commercial real estate leases. Supervisory experience is a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) and/or Certified Management Accountant, preferred
