PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Social Media Video Content Specialist (SMVCS) is primarily responsible for creating and owning organic content on MyComputerCareer’s soon-to-be-developed TikTok channel. The ideal candidate will have a strong presence and knowledge of the platform, including best practices on posting, engaging, and growing an organic audience. The person in this role is responsible for developing platform-specific content and supporting highly effective social media marketing campaigns that drive growth in lead acquisition. The SMVCS works closely with the entire Marketing team, as well as internal and outsourced designers, copywriters, and specifically other Social Media Content Specialists, to deliver creative campaigns that drive business growth. Metrics associated with this position are centered around engagements, lead generation, lead conversion, post-performance, and social platform fans/followers.
Highly Creative – always trying out new things, finding creative solutions, always testing and learning, optimizing content, imaginative, and is excited to use new technology! Passion for social media marketing in all its forms – creating, curating, developing, distribution and analytics is a must.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help drive social traffic, engagement, and brand awareness primarily on TikTok, but with also support these efforts across all company social channels
Optimize various social platforms
Ensure lead generation through social media channels
Conduct ongoing data analysis to understand consumer behavior and site performance
Create compelling content (video, copy and graphics) for different social platforms
Create images, and use effective storytelling, to create unified social media campaigns
Schedule and post content to various social channels
Generate leads through social media channels
Assist in the creation and maintenance of social campaigns and track their success
KEY SKILLS:
Experience in short-form video creation for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc
Experience creating, editing, optimizing content for YouTube
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Facebook Business Manager, and Google Analytics. Possess an excellent working knowledge of MS Office and Google Drive Suite
Ability to multitask and prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly goals
Strong organization and planning skills
Self-starter with speed – ability to create content quickly (when needed) to seize real-time opportunities Exceptional written communication skills and superb grammar
Strong attention to detail
Experience with social media presence and strategy
Ability to analyze measurement data and analytics to provide feedback and revise strategies

Innovative and creative within all forms of social media marketing – creating, curating, distributing, and analytics.
Passionate about social media marketing
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field; or a comparable combination of education and experience
1-4 years of TikTok experience for a business. High performing personal accounts with a strong following/growth will also be considered
Experience with business information systems and marketing automation platforms; specifically, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva or similar design programs
2 years: Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of marketing and social media marketing concepts, principles, best practices, tools, and technology
2 years: Creating social media content for use across multiple platforms and social channels
Experience with social influencer marketing.
