SummaryThis role is responsible for development, programming and implementation of processes that yield quality parts that meet or exceed our customers’ expectations.
Strong problem-solving and programming skills are needed to develop programs, tooling, and fixturing to create capable, repeatable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes.
Generate routings, set-up sheets, tooling layouts and process documentation.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary.
Perform set-ups, operates equipment while actively seeking opportunities to improve both the quality and processes for the products we manufacture Analyze processes to identify the root cause of failures/defects Work with manufacturing to develop a written procedures and/or process that drive improvements Working with Team Lead and Planning to understand capacity levels and current schedule status Support ECOs, print revision changes, In-Process Prints in a timely and accurate manner Process mapping of new prints and create master inspection verification records Develop CNC programs, processes, tooling, and fixturing/work holding needed for new and existing jobs Ensure proper change management and control of CNC MasterCam programs Work with suppliers to implement, maintain and support tooling management programs Support actions for implementing cost reduction projects with engineering and production employees Work with manufacturing to improve processes that are not meeting expected efficiencies or quality Runs production and verifies the quality of work while deburrs parts as required Perform in-process inspection of own work while running machines Complete required paperwork and keep materials organized Assist in training employees on equipment and machining skills Show self-motivation to optimize job performance on a continual basis Maintain compliance to safety procedures and regulatory requirements Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Qualifications 5
years as a Class A Machinist in a manufacturing environment 5
years of work experience with methods of inspecting and metrology techniques Ability to program CNC Lathe machines using MasterCam or similar software Experience with SolidWorks Solid understanding and experience with CMMs preferred Knowledge of machining practices, inspection methods, and properties of materials.
Excellent working knowledge of technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, GD&T Must be able to identify root cause and develop appropriate corrective actions.
Strong problem solving, and process validation experience is a plus Possess good reading, writing, communication, and organizational skills Maintain performance with changing priorities under minimal supervision Possess strong team collaboration skills Work in an autonomous and efficient mannerEducation and/or Experience High School diploma or equivalent (GED), plus at least 2 years of Tech training in machine tool technology or related field Technical diploma preferred but not requiredLanguage Skills Must be able to read, write and speak fluent EnglishPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
