Under the direction of the Director – Customer Financial Services, the Customer Financial Services – Accountant is responsible to support the Accounts Receivable team in various capacities. The Customer Financial Services -Accountant will communicate regularly with Billing, Cash applications, collection and the GL teams. These tasks will be performed while upholding the organizations core values of integrity, passion, creativity, perseverance, and achievement.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for various reconciliations to ensure compliance with GAAP.
Responsible for customer set up and review mitigating risk.
Assist with customer account audits as needed.
Adhere to established company policies.
Assist with internal and external audit requests.
Process customer refunds/rebates.
Maintain tax exemption process within the Vertex software.
Administer the necessary paperwork for third party collections agency.
Assist with Bankruptcy paperwork and filing proof of claims.
Drive best practice and standards to ensure maximum efficiency and improvement of working capital.
Perform ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college; or three-years related experience with working knowledge of products and services; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to stay self-motivated in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to manage time and responsibilities to meet or exceed department metrics
Ability to read, write and comprehend detailed and sometimes technical work instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units or measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail, requires a high degree of accuracy.
Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and efficiently with a diverse group of internal and external customers in stressful situations.
Knowledge of Microsoft office software including outlook and have the ability to learn company specialized software programs.
