The Junior Accountant will assume responsibilities of assisting staff accounants in reporting and analysis Monthly Revenue and Receivables.
Job Summary:
Initiates journal entries, maintains detailed supporting analyses, schedules and assists with the preparation of MHS revenue proofs . Performs analysis on variances from forecasted results on CMI, Volume, and payor mix.
- Prepare standard monthly account entries for all MHS Hospital.
- Reconcile Balance sheet accounts and keep detailed workpapers of montly activity
- Performs detailed analysis of activity in various General Ledger accounts,
- Perform accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors.
Education/Skills:
High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years related work experience preferred.
- Experience with computer systems preferred, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
