Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team in our Alexandria, VA office. This position will be a mix of In Office and Remote work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high touch employee support level of service and support
• Partners with MTSI leaders to support various activities including but not limited to employee relations, employee performance and development, benefits questions etc.
• May assist with on-boarding and off-boarding, new hire orientation programs, recognition programs as well as employee learning and development activities.
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
• Manages weekly HR communications and regular updates to HR FAQs
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Provide analytics and dashboards to help facilitate knowledge and trend information
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• At least two years of human resource management experience preferred.
• HR certification a strong plus (PHR or other).

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization s facilities
