MMI Hospitality Group is seeking to fill the role of Chief Financial Officer. Our retiring CFO was successful in advancing the administrative, financial and risk management operations of the company including the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to maximize company assets and report accurate financial results.
The family business is looking to expand primarily through the acquisition of franchised hotels and legacy resorts. Most opportunities this company leader will solicit, screen and secure financing for will be hotel assets. With that being said, we believe a knowledge of general real estate underwriting, platform development asset management and investor relations are appreciated. This individual may also provide due diligence for various investment opportunities the family office is presented outside of hospitality.
Current capital resources are primarily internally generated with development partnerships in place to underwrite GP/LP structures with like-minded buyers. Our company culture is in operations. This individual will focus on expanding opportunities for our team members through growth of hotel property counts and similar hospitality businesses.
MMI has managed for third party hotel owners for more than forty years. With a Business Development Director focused on soliciting these contracts, the CFO will assist the operating company’s leadership team in underwriting management opportunities, but primary financial leadership within the operating companies will report to the CFO acting almost as an asset manager for MMI’s founding families and third party owners alike.
The development of a financial and operational strategy with metrics tied to that strategy is a priority for our next CFO. Understanding how to expand our existing operating companies primarily comes through capital allocation and real estate investment decision making. A knowledge of business underwriting and deal structuring of hotel investments is a priority.
Essential duties and responsibilities will include:
The ideal candidate will have a Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance with at least seven (7) years of progressive responsibility for a hotel-related company or a division of a major service company either directly as an executive or counsel thereof or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in hospitality management is a plus. A Certified Public Accountant is preferred, but not required.
MMI Hospitality Group is a company steeped in Southern hospitality. Please apply today if you are interested in joining a company with roots reaching back over 67 years in the hospitality industry. To learn more about MMI including benefits offered, please go to mmihospitality.com
