SUMMARY
We are looking for a Finance manager that will embrace our vision and core Values.
The Finance manager willprovide financial, managerial, and operational support to the CFO. The primary responsibility is to manage the company’s finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Work closely with the CFO on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to financial reporting, budget management, cost-benefit analysis, and forecasting needs.
– Work with the CFO and Finance team to compile an operating budget.
– Monitor accuracy and timeliness of all financial reports; including but not limited to, month-end, fiscal reports, and agency commissions.
– Continual monitoring and identification of areas for cost reduction.
– Monitor banking activities of the organization.
– Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization’s needs and management of overall liquidity.
– Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including, but not limited to, financial statements, cash flow projections, and organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports.
– Serve the company by performing such financial, managerial, and other related duties as the company shall from time to time direct.
– Train the finance/accounting department and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters.
– Direct supervision of Finance & Accounting team
– Set, manage, and monitor finance/accounting department goals and performance objectives.
– Lead, direct and provide guidance on issues related to financial operations, reporting, communication, policies & procedures, compliance, and well as customer requirements.
– Coach and mentor finance team and accounting team.
– Identify department training requirements and conduct training as needed.
– Conduct performance appraisals; provide rewards and execute disciplinary actions/ workplace solutions for department staff.
– Maintain an environment that allows the finance and accounting department to be part of the overall goals.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
– Seven (7) + years of experience with financial/ accounting management in day-to-day financial operations
– Demonstrated progressive experience in creating financial and budgetary plans to meet specified objectives and modify the tactics when necessary to achieve the desired results.
– Outstanding communication skills
– Excellent verbal and written with an emphasis on listening and the ability to develop effective business plans, proposals, and reports.
– Able to manage a fast-paced hands-on entrepreneurial environment.
PREFERRED SKILLS
– Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A) Certification
– Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the production staff.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to assist in creating and executing continuous improvement initiatives.
