Hennepin County District Court is seeking to fill one Accounting Assistant position assigned to the District Court Finance office. This position is classified under the internal title of Office Assistant III.
As an integral member of the accounting team, this position reports to the Accounts Payable supervisor and is responsible for performing various routine accounting tasks and providing support to both internal and external customers. The primary focus of the role is to efficiently handle a high volume of invoices, including receiving and preparing them for payments. This involves ensuring the invoices are submitted to the appropriate approvers and accurately entering them into the state financial system “SWIFT” for payment processing in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, techniques, Minnesota Judicial Branch policies and guidelines.
This role is a hybrid work arrangement, generally completing 3 days per week of remote work and 2 days per week of in-office work at the Hennepin County Government Center in downtown Minneapolis, 300 South 6th Street, C-300, Minneapolis, MN 55487. Typical hours are 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, but may vary depending on business needs.
The anticipated starting hourly rate for this position is at least $21.00 an hour and up to $24.42 per hour. The full future earning potential is $37,980.72 – $63,997.20 annually. The full classification earning potential is $18.19 – $30.65 per hour, $37,980.72 – $63,997.20annually. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for State of MN employee benefits.
