Military Benefit Association is looking for a Director of Finance to oversee our operations. The Finance Director is responsible for making sure that the finances of the company are accurate and in-line with company goals, policies, and expectations. This includes monitoring expenditures and budgets for each department and determining the financial needs of the organization.
Responsibilities:
· Directs and manages the finance operations of the agency, the internal and external financial reporting, budgeting, cash and asset management, contract billing, and management of the accounting department.
· Manages agency financial systems and maintains full and accurate financial records.
· Provides oversight to the annual audit process.
o Responds to auditors’ comments in conjunction with the President concerning finances and operations and oversees required actions to address deficiencies.
· Works in conjunction with the President, Vice President, and Treasurer to communicate financial information to the Board of Directors and represents the organization to its financial partners, including financial institutions and auditors.
· Conducts financial analysis and prepares detailed financial reports and statements.
· Provides financial and accounting direction and leadership to organization staff members.
· Ensures compliance with financial legislation, policies, and procedures.
· Develops and implements purchasing practices and monitors the purchasing system.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent management and supervisory skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Proficient in QuickBooks online accounting software.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
· Experience working with non- profit organizations
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
Five years or more experience required.
Certified Public Accountant designation required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
