Position Summary
The FP&A Manager plays a critical role in the reporting and analysis of financial results and the budgeting and forecasting process at Hillenbrand. This role is responsible for leading the preparation, analysis, and presentation of the budget and forecast for Hillenbrand as well as the consolidation, analysis and oversight of the process for Hillenbrand as a whole. This role is also involved in process improvements projects to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Lead the annual business plan and quarterly forecast update process enterprise-wide, working closely with operating company financial leaders Prepare financial information for senior management and the Board of Directors Analyze trends in the business and generate insights to drive business performance improvement and develop new reporting Partner with Hyperion system team to develop processes and guidelines. Drive global process improvement initiatives across finance processes and participate in Lean projects to improve systems and processes Analyze budget/forecast to actual variances Complete ad hoc reports or analyses in support of M&A activities and special projects Lead the analysis to support Hillenbrand’s quarterly earnings process Develop and manage financial reporting dashboard including but not limited to monthly results, quarterly forecast, ROI metrics, etc. Other duties may be assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct, and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent from a college or university in Finance, Accounting, or Business; or equivalent combination of education and experience with a preferred emphasis in the industrial manufacturing business segment.

Minimum Requirements:

7+ years of experience and/or training as an FP&A Manager Proven experience in business partnering to drive profitable growth Experience thinking strategically and have a general understanding of continuous improvement / lean methodologies Experience with financial modeling, and with business case development, cost analysis, and sensitivity analysis required Experience with financial software Strong communication skills required

Preferred Requirements:

MBA or CPA from accredited schools. Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and Hyperion Financial Planning Global experience in the industrial manufacturing industry preferred Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required with expert skills in Excel preferred
