Description:
MidLantic Urology is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for their finance team due to an internal promotion! The finance team is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team. It is an exciting time at MidLantic Urology – a merger of the top urologist groups in Philadelphia took place in 2018. Today MidLantic Urology boasts 42 locations and 60+ physicians across Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. This role will provide a high level of exposure to senior finance and operations leadership, the opportunity for continued finance process development, and ownership of revenue analysis.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
· Financial analysis across practices and divisions identifying and investigating significant variances
· Preparing financial reports and assisting with financial audit
· Monthly close procedures as assigned, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and consolidating reports
· Budgeting, forecasting, cash flow forecasting including all analysis to actuals
· Working with executives across the business to explain financial variances, providing data backed solutions to operations team
· Managing cash balances, ensuring cash flow adequate to pay bills on time and operate the business effectively
· Engaging in a leadership role to junior team, reviewing staff accountant journal entries, coaching as needed
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Possesses and can further develop exceptional relationships and rapport across business units, up and down the organizational hierarchy.
· Demonstrated knowledge of accounting processes and procedures.
· High degree of effective advanced analytical and problem-solving skills and judgment with specific application to medical and financial data.
· Strong ability to consistently prepare and review accurate analyses, projections and budget v. actual analysis.
· Flexible and responsible for meeting tight deadlines
· Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and through written form.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CFA not required but preferred.
· Three to five years of experience with progressive responsibility, with demonstrated competencies and performance.
Location:
· This role provides a semi-hybrid schedule, with 4 days on-site in our brand-new Plymouth Meeting office building
· One day of the employee’s choice working from home.
