ABOUT THE POSITION:
A local Orthopedic practice is seeking a professional to join our team as Financial Manager.
The highly respected practice is well established with multiple service locations in the Wichita, KS area. The Financial Manager will play a critical role in strategic decision making and operations as the company continues to enhance its quality offerings. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who oversees the accounting and billing teams. The successful candidate will also have a successful record of accomplishment in setting priorities, as well as excellent strategic thinking, analytical and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills are a must.
Supervision of Staff
· Direct supervision of the accounting and payroll staff and the RCM Manager
· In-direct supervision of RCM staff
· Oversight of financial operational issues throughout the company
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, finance, business administration or related field
· Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in health care management
· Minimum of 5+ years’ operational experience in medical billing
· Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare industry financial management
· Trusted advisor to physician partners
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee the financial planning of the company by evaluating its performance and identifying potential opportunities and risks
· Prepare monthly financial reports on a company, location, department and partner level
· Identify and assist in developing cost management initiatives; ensure that they are aligned with the company’s vision and mission
· Develop and monitor operational and capital budgets
· Identify opportunities to improve processes that will contribute to the company’s success
· Negotiate with vendors, contractors, and others
· Assure that financial reporting and RCM processes meet established compliance standards.
· Work closely with accountants and attorneys in the areas of tax preparation and contracting.
