Finance Director – Server Supply Chain Finance

The Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure Finance team is an exciting and fast-evolving team at the forefront of Microsoft’s Cloud-first strategy. We are looking for a talented and motivated individuals to help shape the future of our cloud products.
The team’s charter is to build out end to end Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure while driving down unit cost of capacity, ensuring cloud services achieve gross margin growth. As a crucial member of the team, you’ll also support long term investments and drive competitive intelligence to keep Microsoft Cloud ahead of competition. All while enhancing transparency into Cloud Infrastructure investments, safeguarding shareholder interest.
Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Strategy, Planning & Delivery Finance team is seeking a Finance Director to partner with cloud supply chain organization, providing Finance leadership in supporting supply chain decision making, accounting policies and processes, capex and COGS ROB, and business decision support.
This role is a great opportunity to:

Oversee financial leadership and decision support across capacity planning, procurement, pricing, logistics, inventory management, quality and decomm

Drive supply chain optimization and compliance

Effectively collaborate with engineering leaders, technical project leads, business managers, and cross-company finance and operational teams.

Deliver quarterly financial and operational review with EG leaders, clearly communicating results and recommendations to senior business leaders.

Drive finance ROB with partner teams for capital forecasting, target setting, budgeting and close

Lead continuous improvement across tools, process and automation initiatives
Qualifications

Minimum/Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 10+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience

OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
-
OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

MBA preferred

15 years of relevant experience with progressive advancement within your discipline

Established leadership skills with strong analytical modeling and strategic thinking

Proven data and financial modeling capabilities and ability to work with financial systems

Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way. Executive level oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated results proactively driving and delivering high value/high-impact project through both individual and v-team efforts

Self-starter driving best-in-class decision support in ambiguous environments

Strong partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority and appropriately push back as required

Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed COGS analysis

Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines, quickly prioritize for impact and the resourcefulness to deliver
