The Commerce Finance team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft’s Cloud-first strategy responsible for the financial compliance for Azure and eCommerce products. We partner deeply with Microsoft engineering and business planning teams to design and deploy financially compliant systems end-to-end.
Microsoft’s Commerce Finance Team is hiring a Finance Director or Principal Engineering PM to take on a high impact role as the leader of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the Company’s most essential modern Financial systems. This Role manages a team that designs and executes UAT and requires deep integration with the engineering organizations that develop and run the Financial Systems which support Commercial, Consumer and Government product revenue.
We are looking for an individual with the proven ability to lead and develop a high performing team and drive complex financial accounting and compliance requirements through the UAT process across multiple financial systems.The UAT Design and Deployment leader will be required to seamlessly synthesize and report on UAT risks, bugs/blockers and system design limitations throughout the planning, design and execution of UAT to stakeholders. We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative leader as this role engages directly with engineering groups, corporate accounting, compliance functions, and finance teams company-wide. This high-visibility role requires strong leadership and influence, as well as executive presence in both written and verbal form.

Responsibilities

Leading a diverse team, representing MSFT’s core values for Diversity andInclusionand demonstrating a Model, Coach, Care management approach

Driving multi-dimensional business and financial requirements through the user acceptance design process to ensure that test steps and acceptance criteria are clearly defined and effectively executed to obtain stakeholder signoff.

Advising Finance and Business stakeholders of the most efficient UAT design to validate their requirements, while also remaining aligned with Engineering roadmaps

Ability to translate requirements between Finance and Engineering in mutually understood terminology to reach a common understanding of financial risks and technical system capabilities

Establishing a standardized UAT process that isrepeatable and scalable, utilizing available/customized release management and project management tools

Overseeing a team of direct reports as well as extension testing teams across the US and India
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting (or equivalent) or Engineering experience directly related to financial systems required, with 10+ years of experience

Experience in technology industry strongly preferred

SAP,Oracleor similar enterprise reporting systems experience

Experience with Financial Compliance a plus

Project management experience and proven ability to work across groups, includingfinance,engineering,marketingand operations

Excellent communication, cross-group collaboration, people management, and influencing skills

Abilityunderstand andsimplify complexsystem and processes complexities in anexecutive-ready manner
