Your responsibilities will include providing financial insights and projections to various departments and leadership teams. You will provide reliable data and transform it into actionable information that will be used to make informed business decisions.
You will prepare accurate monthly and ad-hoc financial reports, assist in the preparation of presentations that provide thoughtful analysis, identify action items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization. Collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews.
Develop the operating and financial plan required to achieve management’s strategic plan.
Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
Leverage forecasts and actual vs. plan variances to advise management on decisions affecting cost management, performance improvement, risk management, demand planning, and opportunities for both external and internal organizational growth.
Provide support with special projects which may impact the entire organization including M&A, process optimization, and market research.
Dive deeply into financial data and become a subject matter expert to provide additional insights.
Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related area. MBA preferred.
General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles (GAAP)
Excel / VBA power user. Strong Word and PowerPoint skills
Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with various management levels
Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture
Highly effective at synthesizing large data sets, piecing together the details to quickly understand the “big picture” and crafting a strategy for improvement that is a blend of common sense, process improvement, and forward-thinking creativity.
