Description

• Take initiative to continually improve efficiency in accounting and reporting processes
• Own the accounting and financial reporting for all derivatives and leases, including coordination with finance and legal, and other certain technical accounting topics
• Collaborates and shares the ownership of financial reporting activities, including reporting to management, government and the SEC
• Supports and contributes in a variety of company-wide month-end close activities, including consolidation and issue resolution
• Develop and implement accounting process change by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
• Interface with operations personnel and other cross-functional areas
• Oversee certain tasks performed by more junior team members
• Liaise with both internal and external auditors
• Research, interpret, and apply accounting guidance to ad hoc technical accounting topics as they arise

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of experience
• CPA preferred
• Public accounting experience and/or a large, multi-national, publicly-held corporation preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Exposure of SEC reporting regulations and SOX
• Experience working with global, publicly traded companies
• Experience with SAP and/or Hyperion preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment
• “Team-player” mindset

This is a well-rounded accounting role working on internal/external reporting, accounting policy research, SG&A, EBITA changes, revenue recognition, derivatives, shareholders equity, month end close/consolidations, and more.
