Description

The Director of Financial Reporting is responsible for tasks including assessment of consolidation of reporting units, preparing financial statements, technical guidance, and more.

• Oversee the establishment and ongoing maintenance of the accounting and financial reporting policies & procedures in accordance with both IFRS and GAAP.
• Lead the preparation and issuance of the financial statements.
• Develop improvements to the financial reporting processes.
• Implement financial reporting tools.
• Support all financial reporting audits including compliance, internal, external, and SOX.
• Apply new accounting policies.
• Assist the technical accounting research & accounting memo authorship on various business matters.
• Conduct quarter-end and year-end recurring assessments for technical accounting memos for segment reporting, impairment analyses, going concern, and goodwill.
• Preparation of ad hoc technical accounting memos inclusive of financial reporting and presentation.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years experience working as an Accountant in a publicly traded company or supporting public clients.
• CPA (or working towards it) preferred.
• Financial/accounting software, specifically QuickBooks and/or Sage Intacct, experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• General knowledge of financial analytics and dashboards is a plus.
