I’m partnered with the North American Controller at a multi-million dollar manufacturing company located near Hoffman Estates, IL. Job Description
- Assist with month-end close, including the completion of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in the management of financial statement preparation and month-end and quarterly close
- Oversee the completion of monthly consolidation financial packets for senior leadership
- Collaborate with internal and external audits, generating audit expense reports
- Perform key accounting procedures including month-end closing, financial statement preparation, fixed assets, and more
- Prepare various states sales and use taxes
- Complete and review monthly account reconciliations, including variance analysis
- Carry out monthly bank reconciliations
- Regularly maintains detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
- Lead the reconciliation of all intercompany foreign accounts
- Assist in the creation of monthly entries on a global scale to close the international books
- Collaborate with internal and external tax team in the preparation of tax returns

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of experience in Accounting
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Tax experience a plus
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and Word
- Strong business communication and analytic skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
