About Our Client
I’m partnered with the Director of Finance at a Fortune 250, Publicly-Traded, Multi-Billion Dollar, Leading Logistics and Transportation Company. This client is experiencing immense growth right now, organically and through key strategic acquisitions. One of their acquisitions is a multi-million dollar leading distributor who is now looking to find a Senior Financial Analyst near Downers Grove, IL.
Job Description
- Lead the forecasting and budgeting for the entire business unit
- Report out monthly financial statements
- Review various month-end reports including actual vs. budget variances
- Review profitability of customers in order to provide analysis on developing trends
- Assist in closing of monthly financial books and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Annual budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting balance of year financials
- Labor cost review and analysis
- Responsible for proposal of key strategic alternatives to help enhance the business
- Provide on-going business analysis to develop recommendations and contribute alternative scenarios surrounding profit improvement to operations and senior leadership team
- Ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested by leadership

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
- MBA a plus
- 2+ years of finance experience
- Logistics/transportation/manufacturing experience preferred
- Forecasting and budgeting experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Must possess strong problem-solving skills and technical abilities
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
