About Our Client
I’m partnered with the CFO at a PE backed, multi-million dollar, manufacturer of environmentally friendly products in its niche. This company is experiencing immense growth right now and is looking to bring on a Cost Accounting Manager to join the team and lead the exciting expansion of the business and its products. This individual will determine and implement cost accounting procedures and methods within its 10+ manufacturing plants. This is a highly visible role, reporting to the Controller and having tons of exposure to the C-Suite team.
Job Description
- Gathers and compiles cost information and maintains database concerning expenses.
- Develops systems and procedures for accumulation systems and/or cost accounting functions.
- Determines fixed costs such as salaries, rent, and insurance.
- Predicts, plans, and records variable costs such as purchases of raw material, labor, and operation costs.
- Reviews and analyzes actual costs to identify inaccuracies.
- Prepares necessary departmental and company-wide budgeting reports.
- Reviews, analyzes, and reports actual profit margins.
- Performs month-end and year-end closings with assistance.
- Determines and recommends cost-effective solutions.
- Provides product sample costs for Marketing and General Accounting.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of experience in Cost Accounting
- CPG/MFG industry experience preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
