Summary:
Supports the Assistant Controller by working closely with members of the finance department and external partners. Serves as project manager for special projects to ensure the effective coordination, communication, and execution of all project components. Develops strong network and support of functional and business unit stakeholders and drives alignment across various stakeholder groups. Supports daily departmental operations. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. In lieu of degree, any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.
Excellent project management skills with experience in managing and supervising administrative projects.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and produce quality results on time with strong attention to detail.
Willing and able to work additional hours as needed and approved by management (i.e. during the month-end close process).
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
Experience in healthcare finance.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Access.
Physical Requirements:
May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
