Summary, Focus and Purpose
The Wilson site is responsible for packaging, storing, and shipping a variety of products for supply to the US and International markets. As the Site Finance Lead, the incumbent will work with the Site Leadership Team to develop and execute the site’s operational and financial strategy, ensuring planned investments are aligned with Company objectives and deliver intended value.
You will work with people at all levels of the organization to develop, report, monitor and manage key financial and non-financial performance indicators, and ensure that financial controls are maintained in accordance with our company’s policies and procedures and will have people management responsibilities and is accountable for establishing priorities and providing oversight of career development plans for their direct report. This position will also be responsible for managing the site relationships with internal stakeholders (Operation Unit leadership, various extended finance teams) and external stakeholders (auditors, partnership). The Finance Director develops and sustains a high-performance organization that is highly flexible and motivated to champion change and innovation and drive continuous improvement.

Reports to the Manufacturing Division Packaging Platform Finance Lead and provides clear direction to Platform Leadership and the Manufacturing Division Finance COE on drivers of Wilson financial planning/strategy and actual performance against such plans
Works with the Site Leadership Team to understand the short and long-term production volume profile at the site to inform strategies on capital investment/asset optimization, workforce planning, and productivity initiatives
Partners with site Business Unit leaders to develop and manage plans for departmental staffing and spending including, but not limited to: contractor/temp support, maintenance and utilities, site services, warehousing/material handling/freight, and Quality lab administration and supplies
Works with Operations and COSI to develop product cost standards and analyze variances
Ensures site adherence to Inventory of Questionable Value (IQV) policy, and works with Operations to conduct root-cause analysis on potential discards and develop mitigation strategies
Partners with project leads to assess capital project business cases and develop/manage spending plans | Develops site Depreciation and Property Tax forecasts based on planned investments and in-line asset book value
As part of the site’s Hoshin strategy, models 5-year financial outlook including strategic investment impact, headcount planning, productivity initiatives, and long-range product cost forecasting
Manages administration of financial terms within the site’s Master Supply Agreement with partnerships and leads monthly review of performance with the Team
Ensures adherence to Company financial controls across all site operations and serves as the lead in hosting periodic audits from MCAAS and Wilson County
Manages a Senior Specialist, ensuring roles and responsibilities across the team enable development opportunities while ensuring high-quality support to business partners
Education
Required
Ten years relevant finance experience
Problem Solving | Analyze complex business situations, focus on critical variables and assumptions and translate those into meaningful financial analyses and presentations that can improve business outcomes
Expertise | Solid understanding of financial modeling, product costing, accounting principles and controls, and a desire to learn more about our manufacturing environments
Leadership | Collaborate with and influence finance and non-finance senior leaders in the organization to drive site operational and financial strategy
Preferred
MBA or CPA
Systems skills: SAP, BPC/LPT, FSA, Excel, PowerPoint
