Job Description

The F&I Finance Manager’s primary job duty is to finalize the sale’s deal. Not only do they guide the customer through financing their vehicle, they also negotiate, sell products, and work with their colleagues to ensure each deal is complete and correct.

Duties and Responsibilities

• The F&I Manager makes credit decisions, submits deals to financial institutions for approval, and helps bridge any disconnects in the sales process.

• Work with your colleagues to deliver excellent customer service in order to develop customer relationships and encourage loyalty.

• Determine customer financing needs and payment options based on a consultative interview process.

• Present a pricing menu to customers detailing their financing options and products.

• Process finance transactions and ensure 100% compliance with all state law, federal laws, company regulations.

• Ensure that all required documentation is obtained and submitted to the proper finance sources so that the contract is accepted and can be funded in a timely manner.

• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.

• Set and achieve targeted sales goals.

• Continually maintain and expand the knowledge of your position in order to aid colleagues, finance sources, customers, and dealership.

• Ensure that all administrative processes are handled in a timely fashion and in compliance with company policy.

• Ensure accuracy of your deal in all applicable systems.

• Submit all paperwork correctly and completely in order to finalize your deals with the deals coordinator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.

• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

• Ability to confront and resolve difficult customer service situations.

• Demonstrated customer service and negotiation skills.

• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.

• Product and Vehicle knowledge.

• Two years of experience in an automotive dealership.

• Knowledge of the F&I process, being able to adapt prior experience to our processes.
