SUMMARY:
The purpose of the Vice President of Payment Services is to lead and direct all aspects of the credit union’s Payment Services. This includes Consumer and Business Credit and Debit Card Operations and Benefits, Cash Management Business Services Operations, Items Processing Operations and Payment Services Support. The role’s purpose is to ensure that payment transactions, card operations and general account services are delivered at optimum levels of accuracy and efficiency, and is responsible for the achievement of budgeted growth and non-interest income objectives. In addition, this role is responsible for leadership, research and development of operations and enhancements of payment services to support growth, increased revenue, compliance, competitive products and enhanced member satisfaction. This position will oversee strategic and annual business planning as well as ensuring that electronic payment products and services, EFT services and general account services are up to date with the market and emerging technologies.
The Vice President of Payment Services will lead and direct all teams that support the operational and strategic aspects of the Credit Union’s consumer and business credit and debit programs to achieve the growth, sales, service and operational objectives of the Credit Union’s card programs. This includes the research and implementation of emerging card technology while remaining compliant though efficient processes and procedures. The role will also oversee all card program enhancements and improvements including the implementation of new card programs, loyalty rewards and benefits programs, compliance with applicable rules and regulations, and the prevention and control of fraud losses in conjunction with Risk Management through the effective establishment and management of network rules and strategies. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing consumer trends and monitoring KPI’s to create reports and enhancements, preparing budget information, administering systems, monitoring performance of programs and upgrades, managing network security controls, as well as compliance and security risk mitigation. Finally, the Vice President of Payment Services will lead and direct all aspects of the Credit Union’s Cash Management services while assuring quality growth, account security, maximum revenue contribution and excellent member service. This position will be responsible for improving the financial performance and controlling any potential financial losses resulting from deposit and payment services by enforcing proper controls and measuring financial performance. This position is responsible for managing growth of the Cash Management portfolio, as well as overseeing the annual operating budget and revenue growth.
This position has corporate wide responsibilities including an operating budget, significant annual non-interest income generation and assets that significantly impact the financial performance of the credit union. It performs functions of managing deposit accounts and has significant impact on revenue generation.
