Regional Sales Manager
Basic Job Function: To generate increased sales and profits within the assigned area including key regional accounts and two step accounts. Motivate and train the Sales Agencies and assist them in their efforts to secure additional profitable business while conforming to company policies, and to communicate information and ideas on market activities that may assist management in developing new products and/or marketing strategies.
Education and Experience Required: College degree and a minimum 5 years sales experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Requires understanding and experience in marketing and merchandising consumer products through direct sales to two step and independent retailer. A thorough knowledge of our products and marketing capabilities, plus and understanding of our manufacturing and distribution capabilities, as well as those of the competition are very essential. Must have the expertise and necessary human relations skills to direct, motivate and evaluate a sales force consisting of independent contractors. The position requires the ability to apply business math in developing pricing strategies and programs, in-order to protect company margins. Must exhibit fiscal responsibility and stewardship of expense budget and awareness of company profit/loss position. The incumbent needs to be computer literate and an effective communicator with both internal and external contacts, using a variety of communication tools.
Job Skill and Knowledge Requirements:
The Regional Sales Manager must be a team player, interfacing both internal and external customers while directing the activities of independent sales representatives. Objective must always be to work as a leader to increase sales and profits by maintaining existing account base while working to develop new customers.

Work Environment: Based in the Winchester office plus extensive travel inc. evenings/weekends
Hours of Work: Minimum of 40 hrs, overtime as needed
