Current Need:
We are seeking a Tax Analyst with the Income Tax Compliance group in Irving, TX.
Position Description The Tax Analyst roles responsibilities will include preparing federal and state tax returns, working with business unit accounting contacts, performing tax research, and supporting process improvement and other special projects.
The candidate should have a general understanding of both federal and state tax compliance.
Strong analytical and accounting skills will also be important in this position.
Key
Responsibilities:
Prepare federal and state corporate/partnership income tax returns Assist with state apportionment and assist with state & local income/franchise Assist with the preparation of federal and state income tax estimated tax payments and extensions Assist in the gathering and preparation of documentation related to the company’s income tax provision Assist with of fixed asset subledgers and tax depreciation Perform technical tax research on a variety of federal and state tax topics Assist in fulfilling data requests from auditors and tax authorities.
Minimum Job
Qualifications:
2 years relevant tax or accounting experience, in public accounting or industry Critical Skills:
2 years tax or accounting experience Knowledge of common accounting Knowledge of income tax software – CorpTax experience a plus General understanding of federal and multi-state tax compliance process Ability to manage and prioritize various responsibilities with competing deadlines Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Additional Knowledge & Skills Strong accounting, analytical, research, and time management skills required.
Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills required.
Proficient using Microsoft Office applications:
Excel, Outlook and Word Strong desire to collaborate and work as a team Education:
4-year degree in accounting or related field required (Advanced Degree a Plus) or equivalent work experience Physical Requirements:
General Office Demands Must be authorized to work in the US.
