Senior Program Manager – Surgical Multi Specialties Position Description: Under minimal supervision, develop, implement, and provide applicable billing/coding and related reimbursement guidelines to include federal/state regulatory requirements affecting daily business operations of the US Oncology Network. Coordinate and provide the necessary education based on internal review results, authoritative guideline updates and trends to QHP’s (Qualified Healthcare Providers), coding, billing, and medical staff. Lead, manage, coach, and develop education staff. Education delivery through face-to face communication, regular network publications, electronic and voice communications, and other delivery tools as necessary. Collaborate with department Director, peers and other department leads in the development and maintenance of reimbursement education materials, trends, and proactively identify topics for coding and billing compliance. Support and adhere to The US Oncology Compliance program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards, must have exceptional communication skills and communicate and relate to the clinical process for QHP’s, medical staff, and corporate leadership. Extensive knowledge of government regulations and applicable reimbursement guidelines required. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Providers and practice management to identify areas of opportunity for education topics. Educate and provide guidance related to ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, CPT coding systems. Consults with strategic program contacts, internal and external audit team management to set long term coding and billing education strategies. Research, prepare, develop, and deliver subject matter material to The US Oncology Network practice providers, clinical team, and business staff via video conference, web based, and other methods of training. Conduct, participate, and manage a team of coding and billing educators. Manage and research coding and billing topics related to government regulations and commercial payer policies. Develop action plan to ensure ongoing monitoring of US Oncology auditing results, outside payer request, for ongoing training. Develop and deliver educational programs for large network specializing in surgical oncology and other surgical specialties. Minimum Requirements: Current CPC /CCS-P certification 5 years’ experience in program or project management or business process 1 years’ direct supervisory experience coaching, developing, and managing staff Current understanding Compliance and Regulatory guidelines Critical Skills: Five (5) years Surgical and Evaluation & Management teaching and coding Four (4) years direct experience in coding, medical records, and reimbursement Four (4) years’ experiences working directly with and training Physicians and staff Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), WebEx and Microsoft Teams required Additional Knowledge & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Healthcare Administration, preferred People leader skills and experience Instructional educational experience with a CPC-I or like credential preferred Education: 4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience Travel: Must be available for up to, but not limited to 25% travel At McKesson, we care about the well-being of the patients and communities we serve, and that starts with caring for our people.
