Senior Business Process Consultant NAFSS NTO This position will successfully drive process improvement efforts for the North American Financial Shared Services Transformation Office (NAFSS NTO) to achieve significant financial, operational, customer satisfaction, and/or employee satisfaction impact. In addition, the position is responsible for supporting the development of process/tools to effectively link the enterprise six-sigma service to the business strategy, align initiatives across different service teams, and establish and enforce an iterative intake and governance process to optimize resource use and enterprise portfolio value. The role will report to the Sr. Manager, Business Process Improvement and be part of a high performing team driving process improvements for NAFSS. This person will be a critical player in McKesson’s ever changing and growing business to deliver the right service, to the right customers, at the right price. Provide consultative services to our senior executives and business unit managers including financial reviews, analysis of business processes and value streams business case development, and strategic project identification. Manage both tactical and strategic projects throughout various areas of the business to deliver incremental revenue, cost/expense reductions, and working capital optimization. To be a change agent driving cultural change focused on the success of our business and its customers Work with Executive Sponsors in NAFSS to ensure Six Sigma program is in-line with the strategic objectives. Based on the problem to solve, identify the best methodology, approach, and tools to execute Position Description Project Identification Utilize data and trends to identify projects that will drive the greatest improvement within 30 90 days. Identifies projects with expense reduction, customer satisfaction, effectiveness, efficiency, or other strategic benefit Advises functional groups by providing strategic direction to initiative prioritization, integration and resource application Works with Director and Executive Sponsor to ensure that six sigma support is strategically aligned with business or functional area objectives Ensures that functional area six sigma policies and procedures align with six sigma corporate vision Project Execution Use Six Sigma experience and training to determine the most effective tools and methodologies to solve real life business problems in the most efficient manner possible Lead projects from inception to benefit realization and control. Lead cross-functional teams, including members of business/functional staff and external vendors Deliver results that achieve or surpass projects targets based on ROI, customer satisfaction, or employee satisfaction improvement objectives Meet project timelines to manage realization of project benefits and maintain downstream effect on project funnel Monitors and communicates the results of process improvement projects/ initiatives to management and the Executive Leadership Team Change Leadership Communicate to and influence stakeholders of all levels Develops and maintains productive customer, staff, and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings. Act as an ambassador and change agent of the Six Sigma team to build a culture of continuous improvement Drive adoption of tools and methods by reinforcing the value proposition Mentoring/Training Participate in the propagation of Six Sigma knowledge across the business unit through the delivery of Green Belt training and other informal sessions Mentor & coach Green Belts and team members in project work, helping them understand and use Work-Out, Lean, Six Sigma for successful and timely completion of projects Critical Skills Minimum of 6 yrs project management, management consulting, and/or process improvement experience Strong working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, and Workout tools, problem solving / root cause analysis and process management Proven track record of results from the application of process improvement methodologies and effective change leadership Strong financial (P&L) understanding and business acumen required: ROI, IRR, cost benefit analysis, sensitivity analysis and presenting project business cases to senior leaders Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization. Strong facilitation and oral/written communication skills. Additional Knowledge & Skills Previous experience working in finance / accounting is preferred Experience leading or managing small matrixed teams and experience leading projects across functional boundaries highly preferred Experience coaching others in process improvement frameworks and/or delivering training desirable Experience as a business consultant a plus PC Skills: Expertise in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) Education Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a financial or accounting discipline MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred Certification/Licensure Lean/Six Sigma certification (Black Belt) Project Management Institute (PMP) certification highly desirable Travel required: Up to 25% may be required, depending on the project.
