Responsibilities
The Nurse Supervisor reports to the Director of Nursing and collaborates with the Nurse Manager for the day-to-day clinical operation of the healthcare units providing guidance and support to the staff to ensure quality patient or client focused care is delivered. When appropriate, the Nurse Supervisor provides direct patient care including taking patient care assignments and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team for care coordination across the care continuum. The Nurse Supervisor assures that appropriate care is delivered, problem solves operational issues, and coaches’ staff toward optimal performance for quality care. In addition, the Nurse Supervisor provides leadership through activities which may include hiring, scheduling, development of staff, teaching, and contributions to continuous improvement and quality initiatives. Knowledge or experience with gerontology or long term nursing preferred.
This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Holders of F1 status eligible for post-completion OPT are welcome to apply. This role is NOT eligible to participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing degree program, masters preferred. Minimum of 2 years of nursing practice or progressive leadership experience required. Experience in the supervision of staff preferred. Demonstrated leadership ability and interpersonal effectiveness required. Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, problem solving, and computer skills required.

Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
Basic Cardiac Life Support for healthcare providers- BCLS – certificate of course completion required and must not expire within 3 months after start date. A scanned copy of the certificate of completion or transcripts, including your full name, must be attached to your profile to be considered.

$84,552.00 – $88,774.40 / year. Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
