Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Financial Reporting Manager for one of our partner companies in the GTA. Please note this work can be done remotely.
The following responsibilities are associated with the “Statement Of Work” but are not limited to:
Manager, Financial Reporting
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare consolidated financial statements and its related supporting schedules under IFRS on a quarterly and annual basis;
Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, generate intercompany elimination adjustments to support interim and annual consolidated financial reporting Consolidated and individual financial statements preparation
Perform holding company GL accounts reconciliation and variance analysis
Prepare, review and submit tax returns of parent and subsidiary companies to CRA on annual basis, and perform follow-up procedures with Notice of Assessments and tax audits;
Assist the preparation of annual budget and rolling forecasts from multiple subsidiaries, and investigate variances;
Coordinate and assist in financial statements and tax audits with external auditors to ensure compliance;
Assist Director of Finance in the ongoing and completed deals regarding adjusting entries and tax implication, etc.; and
Qualifications
An accounting designation (CGA,CMA or CA) with an university degree in Business Administration or Commerce.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience in the public accounting industry
Has initiated, led and successfully implemented major changes in teams and processes.
Excellent relationship builder and communicator with proven leadership and motivation ability
Sound understanding of financial, strategic and expense management processes
