Our client, a global wine and spirits company is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team for a hybrid role. As a Finance Manager, you will be part of the partners with marketing and commercial teams in support of the various business unites and teams. The ideal candidate will have proficient analysis who has strong organization and communication skills, along with a can-do mindset and an eye for process improvement which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Finance Manager (hybrid role)
Location: New York, NY 10177 (contract to possible hire)
Pay Range: $45 to $60 p/h depending upon experience
What’s the Job?
Perform month-end close procedures related to DTC business unit, including:
Supporting sales interface from DTC sales ledger to JD Edwards
Month-end accruals for expense line items, including wages, commissions, sales & use tax, and freight
Balance sheet account reconciliations
Other reclassing journal entries as required
Prepare rolling forecasts for DTC P&L, based on run rate and trends
Prepare management reports for DTC business, including:
Sales analysis reports for each sales channel
Profit and loss statements for each sales channel
In-depth variance analysis to identify key drivers, compared to historical and forecast results
Business commentaries for top management
Building and maintaining standardized commercial and financial reports, and migrating into PowerBI
Maintain financial system data mappings to ensure accurate financial / P&L info
Respond to ad hoc data analysis requests from senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
What’s Needed?
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5 +years of progressive finance/accounting experience
Strong comprehension of accounting/financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting)
Advanced MS Office Suite skills; required proficiency in Excel (data analysis, forecasting and modeling)
Effective analytical and communication skills
