(Sr) Investment Financial Accounting Analyst – Team Lead
P&C Insurance Carrier
Los Angeles, CA – Hybrid Work Week
Client is looking for experience within a global P&C insurance carrier in a role having Investment Accounting responsibilities. This role is a critical to adding to our client’s bench-strength. Upward advancement is very likely.
Los Angeles, CA with no opportunity to work remotely. Preference is for someone already living/working in the Los Angeles area or who understands the California Cost of Living Differential. This is a California ‘boots on the ground’ opportunity and will require this hire to live within commuting distance. Zip codes include 91364, 91365 and 91367. Cities include: Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Calabasas, Tarzana, Canoga Park, Woodland Hills and Thousand Oaks. Will work a Hybrid work week – Monday and Friday WFH and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays at the office, exception will be the quarterly close processing period and will require attendance at the office.
P&C carrier will hire a Sr Investment Financial Accounting Analyst who will be part of the Financial Reporting Team. Company offers a growth opportunity to an ambitious leader who brings a CPA or is on track for certification and who has solid financial reporting and analysis experience -STAT/GAAP/IFRS/SEC. Targeting 5 to 8 years of experience in a global insurance carrier setting or Big 4.
Experience should include solving complex accounting issues. Oracle EBS experience would be a plus along with good PAM experience.
Also important:
- Experience assessing the valuation of leases would be a plus
- Process improvement experience or an eye for improvements is required
- Work flow analysis
- CPA certification or path to certification, MBA would be a plus
- GAAP and SEC filing experience strongly preferred
- Big 4 experience, a plus
- WINGS experience will be a plus
- PAM investment accounting software experience is strongly preferred
- Experience using business intelligence tools is required
- Experience with complex accounting issues is required
- Oracle EBS, Insurance Policy and Claims experience is strongly preferred
