Financial Accounting Analyst (Sr.) P&C Insurance Carrier
Hybrid Work Week
No relocation – Los Angeles only
Our Los Angeles, CA P&C insurance client will hire an up and coming Financial Accounting Analyst. Your opportunity to make a difference and show your moxie!!
Looking to attract a very analytical problem solver who brings an eye for system and process improvements. The Financial Accounting Analyst will have superior mentorship and will wear many hats: complex accounting, financial analysis, financial reporting, data analytics, data reporting, system and process improvements and cost benefit analysis. Promises great adventure and the opportunity to stand out and make a name for yourself. This role will have upward advancement potential as client is looking to improve their bench-strength.
Los Angeles, CA with no opportunity to work remotely. Preference is for someone already living/working in the Los Angeles area or who understands the California Cost of Living Differential. This is a California ‘boots on the ground’ opportunity and will require this hire to live within commuting distance. Zip codes include 91364, 91365 and 91367. Cities include: Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Calabasas, Tarzana, Canoga Park, Woodland Hills and Thousand Oaks. Will work a Hybrid work week – Monday and Friday WFH and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays at the office, exception will be the quarterly close processing period and will require attendance at the office.
REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES:
1. 5 years of relevant insurance accounting experience and 2 in Public are preferred.
2. CPA or path to certification, required
3. MBA a plus
4. Experience in GAAP is required
5. SEC reporting a plus
6. IFRS would be strongly preferred, but not required
7. Oracle EBS, a plus
8. Strong math skills required
9. Attention to detail required
10. Thrive on new challenges type of personality, almost a requirement
11. Creative thinker – how can this be done better type of person, required
12. Adaptive team member, strongly preferred
