What You Will Do
The Lab invites you to join the Controller Division. We have an opportunity for an Accountant I to support the Accounts Receivable team and become a member of the CNTL-Property Accounting and Accounts Receivable Group (CNTL-PA-AR). The selected candidate will report to the Accounts Receivable Team Leader and will support the group mission by managing the Integrated Contracts (IC) work performed with other Department of Energy contractors. Oversight of this work includes maintaining, billing and collecting payments from other DOE contractors.

Minimum Job Requirements:
General
Experience working in a complex organization with diverse operations. Demonstrated record of effective teamwork coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities. Proven ability to meet deadlines and identify process improvements while supporting the organization’s strategic objectives. Problem solving, analytical skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel and customers.
Accounting Experience
Experience with the Accounts Receivable function including maintaining, billing and collecting payments from customers who owe money for goods and services provided. General knowledge of governmental financial accounting. General knowledge of accounting/financial concepts and principles to include Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and proper application of internal controls for accounting operation. General understanding of accounting and finance functions.
Technology
Demonstrated proficient use of computer software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Education and Years of Relevant Experience
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field and 2 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Desired Qualifications:
MBA from an accredited college or university

Location: This position will be part of the Laboratory’s Telework Pilot and may work from a remote/home location within a two-hour ground commute of the Laboratory. Employee participation in the Telework Pilot may be shortened or extended at the manager’s discretion. Ability to report on-site is a must for this position.

Additional Details
Directive 206.2 – Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2 . Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
