What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Serve as the accounting process owner for all key internal controls and interface regularly with the global SOX leadership team
• Ensure that all key SOX controls are operational and effective, maintain all process flow maps with current risks and controls, and perform SOX testing on a regular basis
• Track all control deficiencies and ensure that appropriate remediation plans are developed and executed by the control owners
• Work with leadership to redesign and implement best-in-practice processes and procedures, including change management
• Represent finance and accounting on complex system implementations and ensure the reliability of the output data; understand the implications for the month-end close process
• Train team members on pending changes that may impact their day-to-day activities

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent related work or military experience
• CPA designation
• 2 years of accounting or finance experience, including 1 year of audit and/or advisory experience in a Big Four or large global accounting firm
• Experience with Microsoft Office and data warehouse applications (e.g., Power BI)

It’d be great if you also have:

• Master’s degree in business
• Less-than-Truckload (LTL) experience
• Leadership experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
• A high level of engagement; Flexible and adaptable to changing conditions and expectations
• Ability to multitask competing priorities and perform well under pressure in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
