Job Summary:
The Finance managers oversees finance-related processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, cost allocations, payroll, and bookkeeping. This individual will adhere to GAAP and non-profit financial compliance as well as all facets of agency programs/policies. This individual will interact with both internal staff as well as external vendors and funders. This individual will support the Senior Director of Finance with various projects and tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Finance
Adhere to GAAP Financial Compliance
Adhere to Non-Profit Financial Compliance
Prepare s for the Senior Director of Finance to present at monthly Board Meetings
Download and manipulate ADP payroll s for QuickBooks Online posting and Cost Allocation
Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in QuickBooks Online
Use data from the Cost Allocation document to appropriately distribute expenses across appropriate programs, maintaining compliance with the contractual expectations of our funders
Enter annual Budgets for each program into QuickBooks Online, double-checking for accuracy
Hold quarterly Budget meetings with various departments and programs
Analyze Financial Data and alert the Senior Director of Finance of any concerns or potential issues found
Track spending habits for trends that may require additional review or investigation.
Perform Data Entry duties as needed
Perform various Accounts Payable functions
Oversee the Client Assistance Funds request process, communicating with staff of additional documentation necessary
Add funds to appropriate budgets in Company Credit Card budgets to fund approved spending requests, including those for Client Assistance Funds
Access data in ADP and QuickBooks Online to generate manual checks when necessary
Audit various aspects of employee benefits, including Aflac, ADP, etc. to ensure accuracy and avoid overpayments
Review Budget vs. Actual s to identify areas for improvement, and communicate these findings with the appropriate parties, including the Senior Director of Finance
Adhere to all financial Grant Requirements as communicated by the Director of Communication and Development as well as requirements stated in the grant documents
Identify appropriate Financial Controls, working with the Director of Finance to maintain and implement safeguards against intended or unintended misuse of funding
Other Financial Duties as assigned.
Assist the Senior Director of Finance with the following:
Budgetary s for negotiation with funders
Budget Proposal Creation
Monthly Financial s for the Directors/Board of Directors
Annual Budgets and Reallocations of Budgets
Financial Audits
Investment and Asset Management
Accounts Receivable, often in the form of monthly invoice creation for funders, per actual data within QuickBooks Online
Annual Tax Filing
Provide the Director of Communications and Development with the following:
Data for the organization’s Annual
Grant Application data
Grant ing data
Additional assistance needed for Development and Fundraising
Administration
Negotiate contracts with various supply/service vendors, compare and shop for vendors, and maintain relationships with current vendors
Analyze current systems and integrate processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness as appropriate, working with other team members as needed
Communicate with Business Insurance providers as necessary and work with the Senior Director of Finance for oversight of policies
Hold Quarterly Budget Meetings with Program Managers and appropriate Directors for each site
Monitor Email Inbox, responding to all emails within 2 working days, even if only to alert the other party that the request is still in progress
Maintain clear and professional communication with all employees, participants, donors, Board members, volunteers, union representatives, and community partners of All Good Northwest

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Preferred Experience:
Experience with ADP highly preferred
Experience with QuickBooks Online highly preferred
3-5 years of direct accounting and payroll experience
Prior experience working in a non-profit organization
Educational credentials can supplement for a lack of years of direct experience
Must be proficient with Microsoft Programs
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, public administration, or closely related field
Required Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to work independently, problem solve, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
