Surgery-Shared 2 (Full-Time, Day Shift) –

The Manager-Financial is responsible for all clinical financial functions of the practice. Prepares, maintains and presents all financial statements to the Clinic Director, Department Chair and / or Section Chiefs as deemed appropriate.
Continuously reviews factors affecting the cost of administration and the operation of the group practice and its various subspecialty sections.
Interacts with various members of the Faculty Patient Business Office, Hospital Patient Business Office and Contracting as needed regarding oversight of patient accounts and billing issues.
Performs other duties as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting required. Minimum four years previous experience in Accounting or Finance required.
Minimum one year of supervisory experience required. Three additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Familiar with all aspects of healthcare accounting and patient billing, CPT and ICD-9 / 10 coding. Efficient use of calculator / 10-key and personal computer.
Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position (e.
work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace;
see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.Certified Coder preferred. Additional Information
