A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FINANCE MANAGER, OPERATIONS & SUPPLY CHAIN
The Finance Manager, Operations & Supply Chain serves as a trusted business partner to the operations and supply chain team and helps to influence key decisions and activities through data driven decision support. Build financial models that provide insight into product costs and the development of annual manufacturing standards. Provide financial analysis on monthly close/quarterly forecasts/annual budgets and long-range planning. Deliver financial reporting tools that provide insight into KPI’s, business goals, forecasts and drive a bias towards action. Analyze and provide insight into overhead absorption, inventory, PPV, cap variance, capex management and manufacturing variances. Drive financial deep dives and deliver operational and cost efficiencies by partnering with cross-functional partners. Proactively assess new opportunities to drive business efficiencies and their impact to the financial and business goals of the company and support strategic planning efforts, developing business cases for capital investments. Understand the different cost components and develop/adjust standard cost per product for bills of material as part of our standard costing models. Analysis of changes in process flow, time standards, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting
3 years FP&A experience including Budgeting, Long Range Planning, Forecasting, and Variance Analysis
3 years related cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
