Position
The Finance Senior Manager will be a strategic thought-partner, and report to the Chief Executive Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience managing finance and accounting at a nonprofit organization. The Finance Senior Manager is responsible for oversight of all finance and accounting activities. This is a great opportunity for a mission-focused, strategic, process-minded and experienced finance leader to contribute to improving the literacy and employability of adults in Central Texas.

The Finance Senior Manager will be a seasoned and mature leader with nonprofit accounting experience, including gathering and evaluating financial information and making actionable recommendations to senior leadership. The Finance Senior Manager will have experience managing the financial functions for a non-profit organization that is funded by a diverse mix of government grants, private funders, and earned income.

About the Literacy Coalition of Central Texas:
Literacy Coalition of Central Texas breaks the cycle of intergenerational poverty through comprehensive literacy services. More than 20% of adults in the United States are illiterate, and the Literacy Coalition of Central Texas addresses this critical issue in a multi-faceted way. By creating large-scale social impact programs and equipping other organizations with the tools they need for adult literacy programs we can support the most vulnerable community members. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Literacy Coalition of Central Texas continues its long history of meeting students’ needs through a holistic approach, in pursuit of building a community that is 100% literate, employable, and self-sufficient.
Programs include adult literacy, GED classes, English language instruction for adults on-site in the workplace, and family and early childhood literacy.
More than 90% of LCCT’s clients are Hispanic and at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. The organization employs approximately 30 individuals and leverages its ability to provide services with 25+ AmeriCorps State and VISTA Members who are deployed within the organization and throughout the community. Literacy Coalition of Central Texas emphasizes cultivating leadership skills and professional development opportunities for all employees. The organization is funded by foundation and government funding as well as private donations.
