Job Overview:
This position is responsible for supporting the process of optimization and continuous improvement of the total variable cost of delivered product to the customer, ensuring operational alignment with business needs and in support of Linde’s safety and quality goals.
Scope:
Across multiple locations in the Southeast this position is accountable for the development of monthly operations plans, setting production levels, and operating modes at Linde’s plants while providing input in scheduling maintenance and plant turnarounds.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to the Director, National Planning. The position has direct reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop monthly operations plans for locations in the Southeast business unit.
- Works closely with Sales and Product Management to review new business opportunities, new plant opportunities, and cost reduction projects.
- Lead overall optimization of resources and assets including Linde drivers, common carriers, and our tractor and trailer fleet.
- Work closely with Product management to optimize overall profitability of the business.
- Support productivity improvements by generating new project ideas and providing resources to develop projects.
- Supervises 10-15 direct reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 10 + years combined experience in Process Engineering, Plant Operations or Distribution.
- Six sigma experience a plus.
- 3+ years management experience.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Some travel required ~10%.

Pay: $110,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
