Job Description:
The Imaging Systems Division of L3Harris Technologies Space and Airborne Systems Segment has an opening for a Lead Program Financial Analyst to lead our team of qualified and diverse individuals in Rochester, NY. This individual will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and a collaborative team setting. As Lead, this individual is responsible for the financial operations of the business area, to include supporting and driving action to achieve financial commitments and mitigate risks, guiding and escalating (as appropriate) business decisions from program bid through execution, and providing sound financial judgment to inform investment decisions. The Program Financial Analyst is responsible to support the financial management, review and estimating of assigned programs. They partner with program management teams to analyze and understand their financial position. The analyst will prepare monthly customer financial reports, verify actual cost reporting, provide variance analysis, and support monthly closing activities. Essential Functions:
Project controls analyst responsible for set up and activation of assigned projects, service orders and production work order support in ERP system.
Monitor and analyze program costs, perform financial analysis for labor, material, subcontract and ODC estimates against budget and forecast.
Prepare Estimates at Completion (EAC) for direct charge programs by working with cross functional IPT.
Provide inputs for the monthly, quarterly and annual sales and cash forecasting process.
Perform variance analysis to forecasted results (EAC, Sales, Profit and Cash), identifying specific drivers of deviations from estimates.
Review weekly labor/material charges and perform necessary cost transfers.
Prepare backup costing support for Cost Plus and T&M monthly customer billings.
Provide day-to-day support on assigned programs.
Communicate business and financial data in a clear, concise manner.
Provide guidance and training to other GIS PFAs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
Proficient with Microsoft applications including Excel (pivot tables, formulas, formatting, etc.), Word and PowerPoint.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Ability to multi-task and work ad-hoc requests on short notice.
Experience with multiple contract types (CP/FP/T&M)
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects or processes with minimal oversight.
Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people of all levels/functions within the organization
Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening)
