Job Description:
Operations Manager role, leading the Vigilance Factory (extended factory) operations team in the production of all Vigilance products. Ensure highest quality products are produced, while achieving operational and financial objectives as well as creating an inclusive, engaged, constantly developing team.
Supervise direct reports and provide leadership to drive operation excellence
Overall responsibility of day-to-day operations for all Vigilance products
Works closely with contractor staffing firm to level load direct labor team increase and decreases based on business demands.
Works directly with support team on improvements within processes, systems, solutions, or products to ensure product integrity and reliability meets the customers’ needs.
Manage activities of a multi-shift organization.
Manages the team’s focus on policy and strategy implementation. Establishes operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the job function. Focus is on short-term operational plans (e.g. less than 1 year). Provides measurable input of new products, processes or standards in operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall functional results.
Reports to Senior Manager or higher
Properly allocates resources and capacity needs to support AOP, financial objective
Improve operational throughput via systems, processes and lean initiatives
Manage production inventory levels. Ensure materials and labor resources are available to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
Manage factory change validation process, collaborate with engineering to mitigate risk
Support EH&S initiatives
Manage overtime and production order variances
Ensure compliance to 5s + 1 processes
Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures
Ensure the team is well-trained, flexible and focused on quality
Ability to lead a cross-functional team to address challenges and to make process improvements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
Minimum 5+ years management experience in a manufacturing environment

Familiarity with six sigma and lean tools
