Accounting Specialist/Heavy AP
Our client, a major specialty technology distributor is looking for an experienced and accounting professional to join their award-winning team in Dallas. This company was ranked best in class in their industry. A family-owned company in business over 30 years with a strong footprint in the DFW community.
Position Summary: Supporting accounting and finance team with accounts receivable and accounts payable duties in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Position Type: Permanent
Salary Range: $46,000-$52,000
Work Location: On-Site, Farmers Branch area
Role and Responsibilities
- Audit vendor invoices against purchase orders and enter bills according to company practices
- Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, but reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Basic accounting and reconciliation skills
- Ability to work independently
- Qualifications and education requirements
- Associates degree in accounting related field
- Three to five years of experience
- Competency in MS Office and Google Platform
- NetSuite experience preferred
- Spanish preferred, not required
Working Environment: Faced paced growing company!!

Additional Notes: This position requires flexibility in work activities and may have other duties as assigned. Key performance indicators will be given annually.
