Job Description:
The Director of Finance is responsible for the financial guidance, strategy, forecasting, and business management for L3Harris Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) Division. The incumbent should have a strong grasp of core financial concepts, including management and financial accounting, cash management, team building, and budgeting. This role will serve as the leader of the division finance team, also advising the broader management team as a thought leader in identifying profit-generating and working capital improvement opportunities. This position will report to the Sector Vice President of Finance and will serve as a strategic partner and advisor within the AS&T leadership team.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Create and establish annual financial objectives that align with the division’s plan for growth and expansion.
Oversee Estimate of Completions (EACs) and profit impacts
Maintain compliance with GAAP while providing support with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Planning (SP).
Analyze, interpret, signoff, and report financial data including monthly/ quarterly/ annual reporting, budgets, strategic planning, and forecasting.
Act strongly and proactively to ensure that program cost and schedule commitments are met.
Monitor program performance to ensure financial reporting accuracy, maintain FAR/CAS compliance, and identify issues for disclosure and remediation.
Provide accurate and reliable financial analysis to facilitate decision-making by operations management.
Prepare monthly financial statements to roll up to corporate headquarters and maintain proper controls over the Company’s funds.
Evaluate proposal cost and pricing data for accuracy, adequacy, reasonableness, consistency with tactical and strategic initiatives, and legal and contractual commitments.
Provide meaningful forward-looking and proactive analysis to provide financial insight into the organizations plan and operating budgets, including providing financial support to sales efforts and contract negotiations as well as rigorous review process around all CAPEX projects.
Manage cash flow planning and oversee investments and asset management.
Manage Finance staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, planning and training employees. Coach, counsel, monitor, and appraise staff performance.
Achieve financial objectives by preparing Finance OH spending budgets and capital equipment expenses; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 15 years of experience in Accounting, Finance or equivalent business acumen, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 13 years of experience in Accounting, Finance or equivalent business acumen.
A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a senior-level Finance/Accounting leader with a publicly held DoD contractor.
Hands-on experience and full accountability of FAR, EAC, SOX, CSAA, DMA, CAP, FP&A, and Pricing/ Revenue/ Cost optimization.
Recent experience creating, implementing, and/or significantly improving the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting process.
Significant experience ensuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are operational, tracked, and monitored appropriately.
A strong background in cost accounting with a proven track record of building reporting, processes and ERP systems that drives operational excellence and optimal financial performance.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Leadership and collaboration in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation).
Existing DoD clearance with current 5 year update.
Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement experience a plus.
CPA Certification.
Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar – desired.
