KVCAP’s growing Finance Department has openings for the positions listed below. Fiscal Specialist: Responsible for the administration and processing of all aspects of the accounts payable and accounts receivable/cash receipt operations, including account reconciliations, posting of journal entries, and necessary general ledger maintenance. Associate’s degree in Accounting/Business Administration is preferred; three to four years practical accounting experience may be substituted for college training. Experience with accounting software.
Staff Accountant: Responsibilities include contract management and budget tracking, preparing financial reports for agency management and funding sources, assisting in monthly preparation of financial statements for management and the board of directors, participating in monthly financial review meetings, performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions related to assigned programs. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business Administration or finance is preferred; or two-year degree with three years practical accounting experience or eight year’s progressive experience in the public and human services field; two to four years practical accounting experience may be substituted for college training.
Senior Staff Accountant: Perform contract administration, budget monitoring, program reporting and closings, and overseeing program billings, receivables, and payables. Leads a monthly fiscal review with C&FS program staff. Works with the Accounting Manager to strengthen budgeting practices, provide research and analysis, monitor contracts, and prepare audit schedules. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business Administration or Finance is preferred, combined with five years of progressively responsible accounting experience; or ten year’s progressive experience as indicated above.
All positions require the ability to pass State Bureau of Investigation, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Motor Vehicle, Fraud, Fingerprinting and National Sex Offender Registry background checks.
