Your Role

The Freight Audit Finance Manager will lead the execution of the daily processes required to support the Freight Bill Audit Pay service for one of Integrated Logistics (IL) Key clients. The employee will work directly with the Kuehne+Nagel IL freight audit provider to support questions, concerns and daily management required to receive, audit and pay invoices to our clients Logistics Service providers. The employee must bring a customer service oriented mindset to this role.

Your Responsibilities

• Serve as main point of contact, in partnership with freight audit provider, in receiving, investigating, and resolving carrier inquiries and receivables statements.
• Compilation and provision of monthly accrual to provide client with visibility of freight expense (actual & projected).
• Work with Integrated Logistics Excellence Manager in reviewing new and updated rate files for completeness and providing the updated rate cards to the Freight Settlement provider for use in the audit.
• Consolidation and summarization of transactional data performed by freight audit provider required to support monthly Invoicing process.
• Completion of weekly freight invoicing & monthly LMS invoicing and oversee Integrated Logistics Finance Analyst in preparation and creation of all monthly performance metrics material; including Internal, external, and carrier related Key Performance Indicators.
• Manage freight audit provider as a client of Integrated Logistics, including leading monthly business reviews & monitoring quality & accuracy.
• Support client with ad-hoc requests for analysis & data, support Continuous Improvement manager through identification of savings opportunities or trending in the freight payment data and support Business Manager and Commercial Team for other required data analysis or metric deck creation: Monthly Business Reviews, Carrier Scorecard Reviews, One off project analyses and Internal Performance and improvement dashboards.
• Attend and support account team meetings.

Your Skills and Experiences

• Bachelors University degree in Business, with accounting or Supply Chain / Logistics major preferred.
• At least 3-5 years experience in accounting, Finance or Logistics.
• 1-2 years focus on freight settlement.
• Logistics and Operations background.
• Accounting and Finance Understanding and freight Bill Audit and Pay Understanding.
• Ability to work in a team environment and to engage in professional communication with clients and internal team members.
• Time Management and ability to meet deadlines and Self-Starter and ability to work independently at times.
• English + Spanish.
